      Isuzu MJ Gemini  Sports Sedan

1994--1998 Production Cars.           Re-manufactured in Australia..

This new Model MJ Gemini is the result of a shared technology arrangement with Honda. 

It  is a completely new car to Australia with Isuzu design philosophy and mainly Honda styling and technology.  Finish is high quality as expected from both makes--details are pure Gemini.

Engine:  The SOHC 1600 engines are pure HONDA and a Variable Cam Timing  design for good torque throughout the range and a high power output for a 1600cc engine. They are smooth, and quiet and easy to service.  Parts are very easy to obtain in Australia.

Suspension:  Again this is pure Honda and results in  very good handling with an outstanding ride for this size of car.  Front is independent by MacPherson struts and the Rear is independent with double wishbones and coil springs.  Both ends have Stabiliser bars to reduce body roll and to improve traction.  Steering is by Rack and Pinion--2.8 turns lock to lock. 

Brakes:  The front has ventilated discs with single piston fully floating callipers.  Most rears have solid discs again with fully floating callipers.  The handbrake operates on the rear brakes.  The Brake Master is a split / tandem vacuum boosted unit with a proportioning valve. The Braking effort required is low but powerful and proportional.  ABS braking is fitted as standard to most  Sedans.   (Occasionally rears are drums and no ABS)

Transmission:  The Manual 5 speed  transmission is precise and is coupled with a smooth hydraulic clutch.  It is very light to use. The 4 speed  Automatic has computer controlled lock up for efficiency. At a later stage we will be able to supply 4WD versions in both manual and Auto.
