Transmission:  The Manual 5 speed Isuzu transmission is precise and is coupled with a smooth cable operated clutch.  It is a delight to use. The 4 speed Jatco Automatic has computer controlled lock up for efficiency. .  Economy mode for everyday use.  Power / Sports mode allows the engine to reach much higher maximums in the intermediate gears and allows the driver to change to a lower ratio instinctively as required by simply increasing  accelerator pressure.  With a little experience it is possible to change down either one or two ratios as required.  Manual mode allows the driver to change gears up and down at the required points through all 4 gears by using the T Bar in the manner of a sequential motor cycle change.  Full use of the 8000 RPM engine Red Line Limit is possible in this mode. (1600 CC engine)
